Life Can Really Suck

My mom's dying

She's dying a slow and painful death

Lung cancer that has metastasized all over her body.

Her brain is still working
as her body slowly quits.

It's painful for me
as her caregiver to watch

I cry around the corner where she won't see me
when I think
that she will never see my two beautiful daughters
progress through life as she should

She more than earned the right to be there through all their joyous moments

She worked so hard with me to help them attain them.
