The water hyacinth is a one day bloom lucky enough to be caught that day.

Chalk drawings in my side yard drawn by my Mom's surrogate grandkids the day before in honor of her.
They are just outside my back doorstep where I've sat many a time and shed many a tear.

I've cried over lost loves, hopeless love and the loss of one of my daughters.
My neighbors wouldn't know what to think if I left this spot after 7 years, I've lived my life so openly there.
