Time For An Update

The pic above is now a year old
I'm not sure how much
I've changed
since then except to say
that the blonde you
see is completely gone

My hair is twice as long
but the grey has taken over
It's a nice soft
silvery shade
and
so much easier
to maintain

My mother
while
dying and bald
from
cancer and radiation
told me
selflessly
that my hair was beautiful
now

A memory
I'll cherish
forever
