Background on Noho girl

As I said by the time my beau and I crossed paths again about 30 years had elapsed.
I was running through our local Stop & Shop picking up a few items when I recognized
Mr E in the produce section. First I hurried on after taking note without saying anything. But a few aisles later I felt compelled to go back and say hello.
Many, many, changes had occurred in my life since we'd last spoken and so I assumed there would be much to know about how his life had turned out.
I'd experienced the birth of a daughter, my father's suicide in 1988, a marriage and a pregnancy with a separation, another birth and then divorce. I'd been single for six years and lived with mom and my two girls in Goshen.
At the time I saw Mr E in S&S I'd also just rebounded from the dissolution of a bad 7 year relationship and resolved (as much as possible) the loss of the child I'd procreated with my ex. My 7 year life in a woman to woman relationship may be recapped later. The end of this phase involved a two year grieving period. Not for my ex but for my child.
My life seemed to be on the upswing and I felt I was hitting my stride once again.
At the same time I was hungry to regain past connections and enhance my life with friendship and renewed ties.
