When one's been impacted dramatically
it can sometimes seem
as if all life
is in a suspended state
dream-like
trippy
surreal
my ability to function
isn't diminished
but
my perception
of life
is buffered
by a protective haze

Ohhhh, you are so dead on. I understand that surreal, trippy under water feeling. Sucks at times but you can actually pull some positive things from it if you try.
