Around the garden
Clematis and lily of the valley. One waiting to be planted and the other firmly rooted into the ground.
The muguet de bois were cast-offs from my sister-in-law, happily transplanted next to my garage and multiplying every year since.
The clematis I got for half price about a week ago.
A two gallon plant for $6.00.
My daughter took one look at it and said, "That plant's half dead you know."
I'd already looked it over.
It's doing just fine.

I'd say YOU have a green thumb. :)
Thanks Heather!
That the miracle of nature, if we care for flowers, if we talk to them (as I heard), they struggle and win the fight. They love us and we love'm.
Yes, talking can't hurt and caring for them as best we can. Sometimes even our best efforts aren't rewarded but that's how it is in life and the garden.
Gardening can teach us to slow down and also to accept the inevitable cycles of life.
