18 years

Happy Father's Day, Dad.
It's been eighteen years-
come November.

Eighteen years
since you decided
we didn't need you
on the planet.

Eighteen years to get used to the idea.

I never will completely.

Simply because you took away my chance to say goodbye.

I know you can't possibly mind
when I tell you
I went shopping yesterday
and bought plants
and things for Mum.

I think more about her now
because
she really didn't want to go.

She did tell me
she wasn't angry with you anymore.
Said that the realities
of her illness
negated anything
as frivolous as anger.

So happy Father's Day, Dad.

Hope you let her in.

Love, Jo

bebe, merci beaucoup, my sweet one.

Mr Fab, didn't want to bum you out.

Everyone with dads - give them a big kiss!

I love mine. Whenever I see a great blue heron I believe it's him. Peace.

I just realized I've got walls shielding me from thoughts of my own sweet dad. I'll have to analyize that sometime. If I had one wish, it would be that every little girl would have the PERFECT Dad--including that beautiful one in the photo.

Thank you Vince. Hope you realize what you want to.

Gtx. You're right they are both still here. In so many dimensions.
Yes, we all deserve and need love.
