I always thought Pascal's Wager was the best argument for belief in God. If you win, you win big; if you lose, you lose nothing.
Nice. :)
Now- who's the
French philosopher noted for recognizing that the written word has more than one meaning? In our lifetimes?
Who knows? Diogenes or Brainhell?
I really don't know, despite I could google, but that would be cheatn'.
;o)
Hey, "forte" is portuguese and means strong or fort (as"Fort Apache") and in Spanish it'll be "fuerte" and with the same meanings in english like portuguese do.
What to say about such personality, Blaise Pascal, that already hasn't been said? He was a fantastic man and indeed, dear Josie, his quotations are great. Somehow his ideas had influence on brilliant minds as Einstein.
And ours, why not?
;o)
I can use all the intelligent input I can get.
As far as googling to get the answer, please do. I've tried and I can't find the answer there.
Male, french philosopher, died in our lifetimes.
I googled, alright, but nothing comes referring to.
Sorry.
