Henri Banks
This is my friend Henri Banks. He's Belgian but his online persona was born in Berlin.
He became Henri Banks at nearly the same time that I became Josie Soho.
We had the same idea on separate sides of the pond.
Henri found me here on Straw Houses. He liked my vintage pix from my dad's time served in Korea. He left me a little note in the comments and then sent me an email asking if I'd like to join his group photo blog Web-Pix.
Henri's cool. His favorite model is himself. Usually in self-deprecating poses such as this.
I've been blogging with Henri since 2005. Meeting him, opened me up to rich experiences in the Blogosphere. Knowing him has really facilitated me meeting a lot of you, dear readers. Thanks, big boy!
In reality, his charm lies in the fact that- this next image is a true represention of who Henri really is.

Okay, is he really really tall, or are those door frames really really short?
If we can believe what we see on the web he's REAllY tall.

Good luck in the World Cup. Germany and Brazil?
I was in Germany during the 1998 World Cup. I love the McDonalds in Germany. They served beer. I played foosball and watched the German team on big TV screens. When they scored, the whole place roared. The whole city roared.

@ Vince thanks for the conversion. Beer in Mickie D's sounds cool. I'll have a Mighty Kid's Meal™ with an under three toy and a beer please. Yesssss!
@ Silly boy, you are a giant, little sweetheart. Kiss, kiss, kiss on your vacation. ;-)
I love Henri!
What's not to love? I know- if you've heard his voice... that's just the icing...
I have heard his voice. I said, "say 'Erin.'"
He said, "Erin."
I swooned.
And now there is that cute little animal he sleeps with!
