But I dare to give you this name of the portuguese national historical hero VIRIATO, a sheep keeper by profession (the one who fight back the romans over and over again, when roman try to conquer us, a people called Lusitanos, at the time, and was defeated by the treason of a close man called Sertório who received a huge amount of roman gold to trick VIRIATO into ambush)

IF he's a HE try to pronounce my last name SANTOS loud, who knows?
If she's a SHE the name could be SILVIA, my sisters' first name (which come from my grandma first name SILVIANA, which I never knew 'cause she deceased too soon).

Ooh Gtx- I misread you in your first comment. Viriato is a fascinating name.

I think I can say Santos perfectly well.

I noticed you also have the name Correia. This is your mom's family name?

I knew a portugese man with this name.

He was a philosophy major that became an antique dealer. He was from New Bedford Ma. There is a large portugese population there.
Unfortunately he died a number of years ago so I guess we will never know if he was a relative of yours.

I will incude all your name choices for the fish.

I will post a permanent pic of our Straw House fish in the side bar and he will belong to us all. ;-)
