Toy stores cheer me up
I bought this dolly on Saturday in the toy store downtown after a haircut. I love toy stores. This one in particular has beautiful European toys. Lots of gorgeous dolls and fairies and elves in every nook and cranny. Felt so happy in there. I thought of asking for a job just to able to focus on all those vignettes.
Secret work photos!
Instead I bought this doll and the hand emboidered felt ornament from Kyrgystan seen below.

The doll reminded me of my third baby and the heart of my mom.
Felt I couldn't leave either one behind.
While waiting to ring out I fought the urge to by a silk scarf covered in moons and stars and a plaque with one of Cicely Mary Barker's fairies with sparkling dust on her wings.
Forget-Me-Not Fairy
Where do fairy babies lie
Till they're old enough to fly?
Here's a likely place, I think,
'Mid these flowers, blue and pink,
(pink for girls and blue for boys:
Pretty things for babies' toys!)
Let us peep now, gently. Why,
Fairy baby, here you lie! Kicking there, with no one by,
baby dear, how good you lie!
All alone, but, you're not -
You could never be - forgot!
O how glad I am I've found you,
With Forget-me-nots around you,
Blue, the colour of the sky!
Fairy baby, Hushaby!

I have been told of a place in the mountains near here where Fairies abound.
I'm meeting with some who've seen them this weekend and plan to find out more about the fairies.
These guys are all ex-Hippies. Real ones from the 60's. I guess they're just more tuned in to this sort of thing...
what a cute dolly!
@ Vince what I have to say to you is more than a comment. I have to goo (see what I mean?) away and come back again.
@ HP Isn't she though? She has yellow butterfly wings. She's so soft.
