Can you believe that never come to my head the word PARTY? I think that's a proof that I'm not healed on my sorrow, yet. Anyway, what a beautiful prose or poem back there.
I'm sorry you are still feeling the pain of the loss of your dad, GTX. Sudden unexpected death is shocking and very difficult to overcome.
Unfortunately both my parents have died. My father by suicide almost 18 years ago and my mom one year ago on September 30th from cancer.
Though my mom's death is much more recent it seems somehow easier to reconcile. I was able to attend her all through her illness and subsequent death to see her through to the other side. I was assured by hospice workers that I would be comforted by my ability to help her and by enduring her losses with her as she slipped away. There are still the questions in my mind but the answers are much more logical and scientific.
Whereas my dad's death was shocking, sudden and traumatic. It took me much longer to understand the complicated reasons for his death.
My doctor advised me that if I didn't feel I was coping properly after a year that I should seek therapy.
Truthfully it took a lot longer than a year to reconcile but I felt it didn't interfere with my life to keep working at understanding.
Grieving is different for us all and personal.
All I know is that finding what I determine to be greetings from my parents helps me cope.
I hope with time you will come to recognize your own coping skills and be able to carry on with your life in a way that allows you to be happy.
Photographing this beautiful place is a form of coping for me as this is where my mom hoped for her ashes to ultimately be scattered, a wish I need to attend to.

Hey fellow bloggers.
It started out a little something like this. With the notion that I had something to get out. If we all just wrote a little something every day, perhaps our houses wouldn't have to be made of straw.
We all have incredible stories to tell.
Epics unbelievable to anyone but ourselves.

You can read more about it here in Wikipedia.
Be well, eat well and live well. It's the best thing you can do to honor your father's memory.
