Thoughts
Life can be hard and life can be brutally unfair.
Lately I've felt just about worn out from 17 years of single motherhood.
Things could always be worse. Thank goodness, in my case they're not.
I'll be caring for the newest baby in a family of clients next month.
Said beautiful baby has Muscular Dystrophy. The second child of three to be diagnosed with this fatal condition.
I'll count my blessings and pray for my friends.

And colored too.
Here it is sensibility.
Yes, someone else is always worse off than ourselves though that doesn't always help in times of personal despair.
The contrast of other's suffering is often enough to rouse us from our own despair.
Though it is saddening to look at a mother with her newborn baby and know she is raising a child that will not live, will not thrive, never marry or grow in the usual progression. It leaves me in awe to consider these horrible possibilities.
At the same time I will play a part in encouraging this child to grow and live life to the fullest in the most normal way possible.
I think it's your gift!
Yes, it's my gift to learn from this devoutly religious family.
