An employee came out from behind the juice counter adjacent and said in broken English with a Spanish accent...
"Hey , you no take pictures here! You ask manager!"

I just apologized and put my camera away.

It was a Whole Foods store. Maybe they thought I would copy their display or something, I don't know.

I wasn't there long so asking permission wasn't on the agenda.

Funny thing is, their produce looked a lot fresher in real life than it did on cam.

Perhaps they just don't want their produce portrayed the way it really looks.
