Retro

I wish my mom were here. She was a great seamstress and would have loved to have seen the styles of her time reissued.
Did you know you can order patterns on line and have them shipped free of charge?

Oh, brother, does this conjure up some memories... I wouldn't call my mother a seamstress, but she sewed throughout her life... After she died (may her kind sould rest in peace) I gave all of her sewing stuff, including a nice modern machine, away to a lady who was incredibly grateful to get it... Mom had a ton of sewing patterns, scraps, yards of fabric, and all sorts of half-done projects... She never threw anything away -- not a thing...
Thanks for the memories...

My mom sold most of her sewing supplies before she died. At that time she had been making fabric shades for antique lamps something I would never have the patience to do. I still have her machine though.

I hope to learn how to use it. Thatwill require reserves of patience I'm not so sure I have. We'll see..

I'm glad your visit here was a pleasant one. :)
