Gazing out my kitchen window to my fern garden I could see the dragonfly had returned. It was sunning itself, glinting in the distance. When I got out there with my cam I first caught him in repose. When he noticed me he lifted off. Then clinging for dear life on the stem of my ornament before deciding it was safer to just leave.
Wonder if he'll be back today?

Clematis
Found half dead in a pot at Walmart last summer. My daughter chided me for buying it because it looked so pathetic. It was a gallon size plant at half price. It languished in it's pot all summer. Thankfully I remembered to stick it in the ground
when tulip time came around.
I think she's happy here.

Wild Gardens

My mom was a funny lady, she told me I couldn't grow celandine in my garden because it was a weed.
The really funny thing is she gave me the seeds for the wild columbine in the pic below. Love ya, Mum!
